
The sustainability rating assigned by the independent agency Standard Ethics is a summary assessment of the level of compliance achieved with respect to international sustainability indications set by some of the main international institutions (European Union, United Nations, OECD).
On 5 April 2023, at the end of the annual rating review process, the outlook of Banca Popolare di Sondrio was raised to 'positive' from 'stable', while the corporate rating at 'EE'; and the long-term rating at 'EE+' were confirmed.

CDP is an international non-profit organization that directs companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, conserve water resources and protect forests. It is considered the first provider of climate reporting data, working with institutional investors whose combined assets total approximately $110 trillion.
In 2022, more than 18,600 companies disclosed their environmental impact through CDP.
Banca Popolare di Sondrio has joined the initiative since 2020 by completing the CDP Questionnaire on climate change, demonstrating transparency and awareness, essential characteristics to mark the transition towards a prosperous and sustainable future. In 2022 the score obtained was C.
